Governor Patel hails Barwani Collector’s Innovation of Developing ‘Shiv-Kunj’ Hill

BHOPAL / Madhya Pradesh governor Mangubhai Patel on Wednesday hailed the Barwani collector’s innovation of developing greenery by planting thousands of saplings with the public contribution on Ashagram hill and making it a tourist destination, Shiv-Kunj, he also said such initiatives should be taken by the collectors in every district of the state.

Governor Patel was on a visit to Barwani to attend a programme on Balidan Diwas of martyr Bhima Nayak there. Patel also visited the Shiv-Kunj hill and said that it is heard always heard that flowers can bloom even among stones. Giving an embodiment to this phrase, the Barwani collector Shivraj Singh has presented a large gift to the district as developing a tourist spot by covering the greenery in Shiv Kunj develop with public cooperation, the governor said.

Patel appreciated the collector’s initiative and said such kinds of innovations could be done in every district of the state.

The governor admired the greenery of Shiv Kunj’s picturesque Satpura range from the Panchmukhi Hanuman statue installed on the hill. After the darshan of Lord Adi Yogi, he also planted a Peepal sapling on the campus, which connects spirituality with neem and banyan plants, the identity of Barwani and Nimar. The collector who is also the chairperson of the trust, Shivraj Singh briefed him about developing Shiv-Kunj and its further planning. The collector presented the photographs of various activities undertaken at Ashagram hill, to the governor.

Addressing the event of Balidan Divas, the governor said the image of freedom fighter martyr Bhima Nayak is in our hearts and not in papers. He and other freedom fighters have a great contribution to the freedom struggle for the country. Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated on the completion of 75 years of independence to remember the martyrdom of freedom fighters. We should take inspiration from the valor of freedom fighters by remembering them every day.

Appreciating the ongoing Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign in the country, the governor said that he feels very happy when he goes to the convocation ceremony of a university and finds more girls among those who take ‘Deeksha’. It is known from this that the ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ campaign is proving its significance in the country.

Expressing concern about Sickle Cell disease in tribal areas, he said that it is necessary for us to be aware of this disease and take the right treatment. Only then can you come out of the vicious cycle of sickle cell disease.

Paying tributes to martyr Bhima Nayak, Animal Husbandry, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister, Prem Singh Patel said that the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav is being celebrated in the country to honor freedom fighters. Freedom fighters of the country who are lost in the pages of history are being remembered and the coming generation is being made aware of their heroic acts. On this occasion, Lok Sabha MP Gajendra Singh Patel and Divisional Commissioner Indore Dr Pawan Sharma were also present.
