Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra to enter MP on November 20, Rahul to pay a visit to Mahakal

NEW DELHI  / Congress’ ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra – an outreach campaign led by former party president Rahul Gandhi will enter Madhya Pradesh on November, 20 during the yatra Gandhi will offer puja at Mahakal Jyotirlinga in Ujjain and address a massive public rally there.
“The Yatra will enter MP from Burhanpur district on November, 20, it will exit the state on December, 3 from Susner of Agar-Malwa district”, in charge of the Yatra in the state and former minister P C Sharma told The Sun Today. “It is officially decided that Mr Gandhi would be offering puja at the Mahakal temple and taking a holy dip in Narmada Ji during the 14-day-long tour of the Yatra in the state”, party MLA Sharma said.

The in-charge also said that the Wayanad MP, Rahul would address a massive public rally in Ujjain. It is also expected that Gandhi would visit the Babasaheb memorial in Mhow, the birthplace of B R Ambedkar, and also pay a visit to Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in the Khandwa district.
Political experts are considered, the MP Congress under the leadership of PCC chief Kamal Nath is taking forward the soft Hindutva agenda keeping an eye on the upcoming state’s Assembly elections to dilute the hardline Hindutva agenda of its main opponent party BJP.
BJP in MP has geared up the Hindutva agenda keeping an eye on the next year’s elections scheduled at the end of 2023, as Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first phase of the Mahakal Lok on October, 11 and he is likely to visit soon the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga where a 108 feet high Adi Shankaracharya,s statue is constructing.
Rahul Gandhi’s visit to the Mahakal temple may be considered as forwarding the soft Hindutva agenda as he visited many temples during the campaign of 2018 Assembly elections in MP and Congress had won the polls.
It is considered, former Chief Minister and newly appointed party’s steering committee member Digvijay Singh who is the convenor of the Yatra will decide the route of Rahul’s Yatra in the state focusing on Schedule Caste and Schedule Tribe voters to take its benefits in the upcoming Assembly elections.
After entering the state, the Yatra will travel through Burhanpur, Khargone, Khandwa, Indore, and Ujjain districts which are tribal-dominated. Congress won 31 ST reserved seats out of 47 in the previous elections. In this election, Congress bagged more SC-reserved seats too compared to BJP. Congress’ preparation is in full swing in the state to mark the Yatra.
