Annual Cultural and Sports Week Begins at All India Institute of Ayurveda

 

NEW DELHI / All India Institute of Ayurveda witnessed engaging events such as Singing Competition (Group, Folk and Patriotic Song), Dance Competition (Duet Dance), and Mime Competition and the day ended with a quiz competition as part of its ongoing cultural and sports week, on Tuesday.

The week-long cultural festival—Anandotsava began on Monday (November 14) and saw an active participation of scholars and staff in activities such as a Singing competition (Solo and Duet song), Dance competition (Solo Classical and Non-Classical), Skit Competition and Poster Competition (poster painting).

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the annual festival, Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Director of All India Institute of Ayurveda, said, “The Annual and Cultural Sports Week has been organised to give creative space to the doctors, staff, and students of AIIA. The festival has many competitions highlighting various themes of Ayurveda, which would be propagated in creative formats such as poetry competitions, Rangoli, mimicry, mime, dance, and others.”

A unique ‘Best Out of Waste’ competition on the theme ‘Kabaad Se Jugaad’ will also be organised on 16th November 2022, allowing the contestants to showcase their creativity. The same day will see the culmination of Dhun 2022, a solo music competition (instrumental) that will highlight the performances of the participants. Other interesting events during the day would include a Dance Competition (Folk Dance) and a unique Ayurvedic Dumb Charades competition.

Kavyanjali–A poetry competition on the theme Ayurvedo Amritanaam, Aarogyam, Swasthyam will display the poetic skills of staff and students at the institute on November 17, 2022. This will be followed by a Dance Competition (Western Dance), a Mimicry Competition, and a Pencil Painting Competition.

Competitions such as a Shlok Antakshari, Extempore/ Debate, Mehandi and Rangoli will be organised on November 18.

On the same day, a Rangoli Competition based on the theme ‘Har Din Ayurveda’ will be highlighting the importance of the ancient branch of medicine originating from India.

The finale of the week-long annual and cultural sports week on November 19 in form of a modelling event and would witness a valedictory function including a guest performance. This would be followed by a grand prize distribution ceremony that will be attended by celebrities and VIPs.

The faculty in charge, Kamini Dhiman has been entrusted with the smooth functioning of the event. In-charges of other competitions being organised during Anandotsava consist of Dr Yogesh, Dr Shalini Rai, Dr Arun Kumar Mahapatra, Dr Namrata, Dr Nidhi Sharma, Dr Shivani Gildhiyal, Dr Prashant Dharmarajan, Dr Prashant Gupta, Dr Anantaraman PV, Dr Meena Deogade, Dr Kamal Kumar, Dr Ankur Tripathi, Dr Meera Bhojani, Dr Shiv Kumar Harti, Dr Pramod Yadav, Dr Sandeep Singh Tiwari, Dr Divya Kajaria, Dr Santosh Kumar Bhatt and Dr Richa Tripathi.
