Submitting Resignations not a Big Wonder, BJP will form the Government in Four States Including UP: Union Minister Tomar

BHOPAL / Amid a spate of resignations of MLAs from Bhartiya Janta Party in Uttar Pradesh just ahead of Assembly polls, Union Minister for Agriculture Narendra Singh Tomar said that submitting resignations were not a big wonder, the BJP would succeed to form the government in all states including UP.

The Assembly polls are scheduled to be held between February and March in UP, Uttarakhand, Panjab, Goa, and Manipur. The counting of the votes will take place on 10 March.

Interacting with reporters on a late evening in Gwalior of Madhya Pradesh during a visit to his home turf, Tomar said BJP leadership was keeping an eye on the entire circumstances which were happening in UP, the party was contesting elections with the full strength.

“Giving resignations are not a big amazing, An immense support is being received for BJP throughout UP by the public.” the Union Minister told the reporters while answering about the resignations by party legislators.

“Picture of the entire UP has been changed in the last five years in the leadership of Modi and Yogi. And a change has happened in the political culture. The public are feeling relief and people will bless the BJP in all five states,” Tomar said.

The MP from MP’s Morena constituency, Tomar also said that BJP will be successful in forming the government in UP, Uttarakhand, Goa, and Manipur.

Several BJP and its ally party legislators have resigned from their own parties so far and most of them joined Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh.

According to sources, many more MLAs of BJP come from Other Backward Classes and Scheduled Classes may submit their resignations from the party in the coming days.

BJP in UP went into overdrive trying to salvage the situation by highlighting the work done by the government for backward classes. Eight MLAs including three ministers have resigned from the party and ministry in three days. Two MLAs of its ally Apna Dal (Sonelal) also quit their party.
