
Madhya Pradesh DGP Honours Children of MP Police Personnel Selected in Civil Services
BHOPAL/In a proud moment for the Madhya Pradesh Police, several children of police personnel have secured ranks in the recently announced results of the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2024. Director General of Police (DGP) Kailash Makwana felicitated these successful candidates at a ceremony held on Tuesday.
Among those honoured were Ashutosh Mishra (AIR 198), son of Head Constable Umashankar Mishra posted in Chhatarpur; Ashish Raghuvanshi (AIR 202), son of Sub-Inspector Naresh Raghuvanshi posted in Gwalior; Shivani Tiwari (AIR 294), daughter of Constable Satish Tiwari posted in Jabalpur; Tanish Singh Rajput (AIR 611), son of Head Constable Jagdish Singh Rajput posted in Narmadapuram; and Siddharth Kaushal (AIR 749), son of ASI Rajesh Kaushal posted in Tikamgarh.
Senior officials attended the felicitation ceremony, including Additional DGP Anil Kumar and others. The parents of the selected candidates and members of the Disha Learning Centre, along with several police families, joined the event online.
Addressing the gathering, DGP Makwana said, “True success comes from sincerity, professional discipline, hard work, honesty, balanced conduct and humility. Once you enter the services, you must approach every responsibility with seriousness. Temptations may arise, but never allow your mind to deviate from the path of integrity.”
He further said it was a moment of great pride for the police fraternity, especially for the daughters of the force who had overcome limitations and challenges through dedication and perseverance. Despite adversities, our police personnel have steered their families with clarity and commitment to patriotism and public service ideals. Their wards’ achievements are a testament to their values,” he said.
On this occasion, students from Disha Learning Centre also interacted with the selected candidates, asking them questions regarding the examination strategy, challenges faced during preparation, and ways to overcome weaknesses. The achievers emphasised the importance of constant self-evaluation, focused preparation, and regular mock tests, highlighting how even a single mark can make a critical difference in competitive exams.
